Dr. ManWo Ng is currently the E.V. Williams Faculty Research Fellow and Assistant Professor of Maritime and Supply Chain Management in the Strome College of Business at Old Dominion University, where he has worked extensively with the transportation & logistics industry, including the Port of Virginia and the U.S. Department of Transportation. He holds degrees in Transportation (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin), Statistics (M.S., UT Austin), Applied Mathematics (M.S., Delft University of Technology) and Mechanical Engineering (B.S., Delft University of Technology). He is serving as the Associate Editor for Maritime Policy & Management and Transportmetrica B, and is an editorial board member of 6 other transportation & logistics journals, including Transportation Research Parts C and E. Dr. Ng’s research focus is diverse, which includes container port operations, ocean shipping, supply chain management, disaster management and urban transportation. This has resulted in 40 journal publications that have appeared in a wide array of academic outlets, such as the Transportation Research series, International Journal of Production Research, European Journal of Operational Research, and the International Journal of Production Economics.
